[i hope this post flows. too lazy t edit. and my vocab is v limited actually lawl]

so many people in the world, and how does some get caught in earthquakes/tsunami, & buried in mud while others are sitting home worrying about the latest gossip or fashion trends.

last wk, a friend said that they wished they were in town on the day of the quake... "it would be cool... to see what i would do. how could i have helped. would i have been one of those ppl crying or helping organise to pull others out of rubble...."
but dude, what makes you so sure you wouldn't have been one of the dead instead...

(because they were saying it more about challenging their own heroic ability... etc etc)
"it's a sensitive topic man... dont say things like that. if u were there, u were there. if not, naah just dont think about it like that. it's at the expense of other ppl's lives..."
"oh yeah. true."

but yeah. so often we say careless things relating to the natural disasters... forgetting that lives had been lost. it's not a nice thing to happen. to have lives ended so suddenly like that.
or more blatantly, we say things like we wish for another quake
so often, we make jokes, thoughtless comments... & forget that somewhere in the midst of all that chaos, is someone crying into the night.

& that someone, could have easily have led a similar life to yours, just the day before.

yeah, me neither
